...another page...another chapter.
November??? Already?!...it seems like only yesterday we were splashing in the pool and trying our best to stay cool. Now, we pile on the layers, hoping to stay warm.
Last week was the most recent follow up with Maggie's excellent ortho.
He is pleased with the progress she has made, and x-rays showed the left hip is continuing to heal well, and appears to be forming its own socket as we have hoped (and prayed).
The right hip, as we have known, is out, and we will cross that bridge at a later time.
Physical therapy continues to be very beneficial in helping her regain motion and strength.
We are thankful for the wonderful pediatric physical therapist for her kindness and encouragement.
This morning, at physical therapy, there was one of those tiny little moments that reminds us that even when we cannot see visible signs of progress, it is always going on.
As part of the routine, Maggie went to work on the stairsteps (learning to alternate her stride on the steps- something most of us take for granted)- and it was if she had been doing this all along-she just breezed through it- much to her therapist's (and mama's) surprise and happiness!
It was a little thing. And yet...it was pretty clear from the look on her face, with a grin from ear to ear...
those steps had finally met their match.

Yeah for our Maggie! God is so faithful. He gives us glimpses of Himself just when we need it. He has healed our Maggie, but He will reveal how and in His time. It encourages us to trust His love and His promises...love you, NaNa
What a great post. Elise is just learning to pronounce the SH sound and every now and then, she'll use it correctly without thinking or giving it extra thought. It's a great reminder that their hard work is paying off.
