"Hope is the thing with feathers-
That perches in the soul-
And sings the tune without the words-
And never stops at all."
Emily Dickinson
It is amazing to see the influence siblings have on one another.
In our case, the relationship between Maggie and her older brother is made more extraordinary by the fact that many miles separate them, and they do not live together under the same roof.
No matter.
There is something pretty special between those two.
A whole lotta love.
A little sister who thinks her GeGe hung the moon,
and a young man who really would try to hang it, if that is what his little sister wanted.
So it was really no surprise yesterday,
when those little legs and feet
moved forward in progression with such determination.
The first steps since surgery.
All. Completely. By. Herself.
With a grin from one ear to the other,
and a pre-determined destination...
...right to her waiting GeGe's arms.

"Hope is not a granted wish or favor performed; no, it is far greater than that.
It is a zany, unpredictable dependence on a God who loves to surprise us out of our socks and be there in the flesh to see our reaction." -Max Lucado

4 notes of kindness:
This one made me cry...beautiful and I completely understand that relationship as it's the same way between our oldest and the 2 littles. Love both of the quotes too. :)

Yipee!!! Maggie has a little fighting spirit in her, doesn't she?
What a great way to start my Saturday! God uses the most surprising opportunities to heal us physically and spiritually. He does love to surprise us! Have a great day and give both my grandbabies a kiss from NaNa.....
How special! I'll bet your son was beaming with pride over Maggies accomplishment!
