...according to tradition, the Chinese Lantern Festival is held on the 15th day of the Lunar New Year.
People gather and enjoy the colorful lanterns on the streets and in the parks,
in the final celebration of the Chinese New Year.
This year, the moon reportedly will be the "fullest" it has been in 53 years, due to the calculated distance from the moon to the earth on Sunday, February 28th;
however, the brightest and roundest moon will be visible on March 1st.
Around here, the party started a little earlier this week.
Though it had nothing to do with the Lunar New Year, it was a most definitely a celebration of light.
Adieu...Adios...Zai Jian...Goodbye chemo and cancer.
Much hoped for. Powerfully prayed for.
God-given Light.
"Just as angels are attracted to the light of joy and kindness, so too are miracles attracted to the lamp of faith and love." -Mary Augustine
